Scholarship Description:
Our team focuses on artificial intelligence in medicine, collaborating closely with several top hospitals to address clinical issues. We helped establish the Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction Center and the Bio-Microelectronics Laboratory at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Robot Institute, as well as the Advanced Medical Chip Research Institute within the School of Biomedical Engineering. Our research includes key technologies for smart surgical robots using flexible endoscopes, human-computer interaction, and neural decoding and modulation, integrating advanced chips, sensors, mechanical control, and multimodal real-time AI algorithms to achieve breakthroughs.
In recent years, the team has published over 200 academic papers and patents, undertaken multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and established joint laboratories with leading medical device companies for technology transfer and commercialization. To support the rapid development of our projects, we are recruiting multiple postdoctoral researchers.

Available Subjects:
- Development and translation of computer-aided diagnostic AI algorithms and AI-assisted surgical robots.
- Research and development of electronic information or mechanical design systems.
- Study of neural brain disorders (epilepsy, Parkinson’s, psychiatric conditions) using brain function and network decoding algorithms.
- Development of innovative medical products for neuromodulation.
Eligibility criteria:
- a) Recent PhD graduates or those who earned their degree within the last three years, with relevant research backgrounds, aiming for high-end technology development and academic research.
- b) Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks, with a strong foundation in image processing algorithms.
- c) Strong research experience, with at least one first-author publication or patent.
- d) Preference for candidates with independent project experience.
