Scholarship Description:
Jiannan Li will join the University of Texas at Dallas this fall. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2012, a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Davis in 2014, and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Davis in 2018. From 2019 to 2025, he held postdoctoral and lecturer positions at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
His research focuses on developing innovative bioprinting technologies, including microfluidic printing and composite bioprinting, for various biomedical applications such as cancer treatment and tissue engineering. His work has been published in journals like Nature Communications, Biomaterials, and Analytical Chemistry. He has received the MCHRI Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford and the Outstanding Research Award from UC Davis. He has participated in or completed 11 NIH/NSF/DOD research projects, with total funding exceeding $20 million.
