Scholarship Description:

The lab uses mouse hematopoietic stem cells as a system to investigate fundamental mechanisms, particularly extrinsic mechanisms, that regulate stem cell self-renewal and how these mechanisms contribute to disease (see related work: Nature, 2012, 481:457-62; Nature, 2013, 495:231-5; Nature Cell Biology, 2017, 19:677; Science, 2018, 360:106; Nature Cell Biology, 2019, 21:700; Journal of Experimental Medicine, 2021, 218: e20200882; Science Advances, 2022, 8:eabm7688; Cell Stem Cell, 2023, 30:832). Specific projects will be discussed and tailored to the candidate’s background and interests. We emphasise scientific training and career development and aim to provide a stimulating environment for trainees.
