Scholarship Description:

Professor Huang Hongliang’s team is recruiting Research Assistants to participate in multidisciplinary research projects focused on intelligent analysis and intervention for thoracic diseases (such as thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissections). The team is dedicated to applying cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to clinical diagnosis and surgical decision-making, promoting innovation in medical technology.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in data collection, organization, and analysis for thoracic disease-related projects.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing AI and machine learning systems to enhance the efficiency and standardization of medical imaging analysis and clinical workflows.
  • Process and analyze medical imaging (e.g., CT, CTA, X-ray) and text data to support research experiments and clinical applications.
  • Write research reports, project documentation, and academic papers, assisting in the organization and presentation of results.
  • Support daily administrative tasks for the project, including documentation, meeting arrangements, and data management.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

  • Applying cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to clinical diagnosis and surgical decision-making.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular anatomy and basic knowledge of related diseases, with a basic understanding of medical imaging such as CT and X-ray.
  • Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language (e.g., Python) and practical experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch; experience in medical image processing or text processing projects is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think independently and solve problems.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills; strong sense of responsibility and proactive work attitude.
  • Proficient in English, with good listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, capable of reading English literature and writing academic materials.
