Scholarship Description:

Dr. Hui Xiaoyan’s research group focuses on basic and translational studies related to adipose tissue. The group employs various cutting-edge techniques to explore the molecular mechanisms of white adipose browning and metabolic inflammation, as well as the links between adipose function remodeling and major diseases, including metabolic disorders and tumors. They also investigate intervention strategies targeting new molecular pathways, such as small molecule screening and targeted delivery.

The group has published as first or corresponding authors in prestigious journals including Cell Metabolism, Nature Communications, Advanced Science, Science Advances, Theranostics, EMBO Reports, and Diabetes. They have received multiple research grants, including NSFC Excellent Young Scholars (Hong Kong and Macau), NSFC General Program, Hong Kong General Research Fund (GRF), and Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF).

Available Subjects:

  • Based on the established single-cell/microcell analysis database, this research group aims to reveal the mechanisms of adipose tissue remodeling in the development of obesity, metabolic diseases, and tumors, as well as to identify potential intervention targets.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, medicine, or a related field. Experience in bioinformatics analysis is preferred.

Application Procedure:

Applicants should send their materials to [email protected] with the subject line: Application – Name – Position. Those who pass the initial review will be invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will not be notified separately. Application materials will not be returned but will be kept confidential.
