The laboratory invites outstanding students to join the University of Exeter for a PhD program and embark on an academic journey! Located in the beautiful city of Exeter in the southwest of England, the University of Exeter is a comprehensive institution with a long history and excellent academic reputation. It is globally recognized, particularly for its high-quality teaching and research.
Global Ranking: The University of Exeter is ranked 122nd in the latest US News global university rankings, while the University of Queensland is ranked 41st.
Graduates will receive a joint PhD degree from both institutions.

The initial research group has developed the world’s first AI engineer combining large language models with CFD: OpenFOAMGPT, publishing 50 papers in journals such as JFM, PRF, and POF. Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates with strong mathematical and programming skills, a willingness to learn, and backgrounds in artificial intelligence, mathematics, physics, mechanics, or engineering thermophysics are preferred. An IELTS score of 6 is required (can be submitted later).
