Scholarship Description:
The Postdoctoral Fellow will work with Dr. Liang Zheng in the KUMC Pathology Department on research into the molecular mechanisms of thrombosis and hemostasis, aiming to understand how dysregulation in these processes contributes to cardiovascular and hematologic diseases. The fellow will have opportunities to collaborate with various clinicians, faculty, and research staff.
Postdoctoral scholars at the University of Kansas Medical Center have completed their terminal degrees and are pursuing further training. This time-limited appointment focuses on providing research training for academic or research careers.

- Thrombosis and cardiopulmonary vascular disease research
Eligibility criteria:
- Engage in full-time advanced training and research.
- Train under a faculty mentor for collaborative and independent research.
- Promote publication of findings and prepare research grants.
- Participate in academic activities related to research careers.
- Follow the University’s Individual Development Plan policy.
- Hold a PhD or equivalent degree (MD, DVM, PsyD, PharmD, etc.).
- Demonstrate strong English skills and the ability to communicate with a scientific audience. Independently plan, multitask, and complete projects.
