Scholarship Description:

Daoce Wang will join the Computer Science Department at the University of Nebraska Omaha as an assistant professor in Fall 2025. He plans to recruit several fully funded PhD students for admission in Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Fall 2026, covering living expenses, tuition, and health insurance.

Dr. Wang earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and the University of Florida, and his PhD from Indiana University in 2025. His research focuses on high-performance computing, scientific data management and analysis, scientific data compression and visualization, and high-performance machine learning.

Over the past five years, Dr. Wang has published over ten papers in top conferences and journals in computer systems and artificial intelligence (such as SC, PPoPP, TPDS, HPDC, ICS, EuroSys, NeurIPS) and has maintained close collaborations with several U.S. national laboratories (LANL, LBL, ORNL). His students will have access to supercomputing resources at these national labs and opportunities for internships there.
