Dr Lu Wang will join the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) in autumn 2023 after serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University (TXST). She received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where she published more than 20 first-authored papers in top international conferences and journals, and served as an Associate Editor for several international journals. In addition, Dr Wang maintains close ties with the University of Toronto, top Canadian medical databases, various medical and health organisations in Canada and the United States, and Chinese and American technology companies (Alibaba, ByteDance, Amazon, etc.) to provide excellent internship and collaboration opportunities for outstanding PhD students. Dr Lu Wang’s lab will have sufficient facilities (2 8-card A100 GPU clusters), sufficient topics and data (Dr Lu Wang will also work at the University of Houston School of Medicine, with rich clinical medical data and extensive collaborations).
