Scholarship Description:

Auburn University (AU) is a public research university and the flagship university of the state of Alabama.AU is ranked 40th among public universities, with the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) being the highest ranked in the state of Alabama, as well as being ranked 4th among SEC schools and in the top 50 among public universities. Auburn Engineering Research is also ranked in the top 50 in the nation for research expenditures.Auburn is surrounded by a number of automotive industries and is only a 35-hour drive from Cummings Research Park (the fourth largest research park in the world).
It is important to note that Auburn University plans to hire 500 new tenure-track professors between 2019 and 2024.

Eligibility criteria:
- theoretical knowledge and practical skills in bioinformatics are preferred (including sequence comparison, sequence assembly, gene identification, gene recombination, protein structure prediction, gene expression, protein response prediction, etc.);
- good knowledge of at least one programming language (R, Python, Linux, etc.), experience in big data analysis preferred;
- Experience in biostatistical analysis and high-resolution microscopic image analysis is preferred;
- good oral and written English language skills, proficient in reading English literature;
- good academic ethics, learning ability, independent working ability and team spirit.
