Available Subjects:
- The primary areas of investigation involve thermodynamics and transient multiphase flow mechanisms when transporting and injecting Carbon for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) purposes, offshore drilling and geothermal exploration, and conceptualization of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and well control techniques.
Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates applying for the Postdoctoral Fellow position should possess a PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering major. Firstly, applicants who exhibit a strong research background with a focus on computational and experimental transient multiphase flow, fluid flow, and heat transfer, along with a solid understanding of thermodynamics, are highly preferred. In addition, individuals with prior experience in research or in industry with respect to geothermal drilling or geothermal Engineering, managed pressure drilling, will be given extra consideration.
