Scholarship Description:
The Li lab aims to develop biologically-interfaced machines, in particular miniaturised sensors and robots that can seamlessly integrate and interact precisely with biological systems, towards a precise, ubiquitous and affordable healthcare infrastructure.
We are particularly interested in fundamental science leading to new sensing and actuation principles by exploring the spaces between traditionally distinct fields.
We also seek to develop scalable manufacturing methods to translate these inventions into ubiquitous diagnostics and therapeutics. Examples of our work include soft bioelectronic neural interfaces for sensing neurotransmitters and hormones, microscale robots for targeted drug delivery, and soft robots for safer human-machine interaction.

Eligibility criteria:
- We are now recruiting for one full-award PhD and one post-doctoral position for autumn 2023. English language requirements for PhD applications: TOEFL (80) or IELTS (6.5), GRE scores are not required.
