Dr. Shujie Cui is currently a lecturer in the Department of Software Systems and Cybersecurity, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Auckland. Before joining Monash University, She was a Post-Doc researcher in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, UK. Currently, Dr. Shujie is looking for Ph.D. students working on different topics, including but not limited to searchable encryption, the security of trusted execution environments (TEEs), side-channel attacks, privacy-preserving machine learning, federated machine learning, and on-device machine learning.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates are expected to have:

  • – Strong background in programming
  • – Strong background in cryptography and security
  • – Strong motivation and perseverance to pursue a PhD
  • – Strong writing and communication skills
  • – Knowledgeable in operating system and assembly (only required for TEE side-channel attacks)
