Positions supported by NIH and/or NSF funding are for one year, but may be renewed annually at the discretion of the University based on performance and availability of funds. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

 Available Subjects:

  • Development of nanopore sensors for various applications.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Bioengineering or related fields by the time of appointment.
  • In particular, the position requires a strong background in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, molecular biology, electrophysiology, biosensors or bioengineering.
  • In addition, candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively and assist in the supervision of a small team of students.
  • Preferably, candidates will have a strong publication record and the ability to learn quickly.
  • In addition to the research projects, other duties of the position include assisting in the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, writing progress reports and papers on research conducted, communicating orally with the Principal Investigator, research group and collaborators, and presenting research at scientific meetings.
