Scholarship Description:

The Nanobiosensing, Nanomanufacturing, and Nanomaterials (3N) Lab in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) seeks a postdoctoral researcher with an interest in 3D printing, mechanical design, and lab-on-a-chip technology. As one of the University of California campuses, UCR is ranked 186th among the best global universities by U.S. News. The chemical engineering department is consistently ranked among the top 50 programmes in the country.

Currently, the 3N lab consists of 1 postdoctoral researcher, 6 graduate students, and a few undergraduate students. Since 2018, the lab has published approximately 30 journal articles, 12 of which have been featured on either the cover, inside cover, inside back cover, or supplement cover. The lab has established strong and fruitful collaborations with top universities and industry partners around the world.

Located in the heart of Southern California, Riverside is known for its affordability, growing economy, sunny weather, scenic hills and valleys, and enviable location between the beach and mountains. The UCR campus is a one-hour drive from downtown Los Angeles and a 1.5-hour drive from San Diego.

 Available Subjects:

  • Mechanical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering or chemical engineering.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Expertise in 3D printing, mechanical design and materials science. Previous experience in biochemistry or analytical chemistry is a plus.
  2. Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
