Scholarship Description:
Dr. Liu is an assistant professor/doctoral supervisor/independent principal investigator in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Macau. He received his B.Sc. in automation from Sun Yat-sen University in 2013 and his Ph.D. in control engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2018. In the past five years, he has published more than 20 research papers as first or corresponding author in IEEE TAC and other control engineering journals. His main research interests include collaborative planning and control of multi-robot systems, intelligent autonomous unmanned systems, theory and application of machine learning/AI and control, and data-driven robotic system modelling and control, involving interdisciplinary disciplines such as mathematical and scientific foundations, programming algorithms, hardware and software design and implementation, and modelling and optimization. https://www.fst.um.edu.mo/people/ jasonliu/

Eligibility criteria:
- Undergraduate/Master’s degrees from 211/985 universities or CAS system are preferred;
- Have IELTS (ielts) 6.0 or above (not less than 5.5 each), TOEFL 550 (80) or above, or National University English Test Level 6 (cet-6) score of 430 or above as English.
